The Friends of the Broward County Library, Inc., in partnership with the Broward–Palm Beach Parliamentarians, invites you to join us for our upcoming Parliamentary Procedure Workshop Series.
Whether you are new to parliamentary procedure or have attended one of our workshops before, we welcome you!
New Participants
If you serve as an officer, board member, committee chair, or simply want to become more confident during meetings, these workshops will provide practical information to help you understand Robert’s Rules of Order and participate more effectively.
Returning Participants — Come Back for a Refresher!
If you attended one of our previous workshops, we would love to welcome you back. Parliamentary procedure is a skill that becomes stronger with practice. A refresher is a great opportunity to review what you learned, ask new questions, and build greater confidence in conducting and participating in meetings.

For many of us, our greatest obstacle isn’t a lack of talent or opportunity; it’s the inner critic shaped by rejection, stigma, trauma, and the pressure to constantly prove our worth. Too often, that voice convinces us to play small, question our value, or hide parts of ourselves to fit in.
This conference is an opportunity to rewrite that narrative.
Through dynamic speakers, meaningful conversations, and practical tools for personal growth, participants will learn how to challenge limiting beliefs, cultivate lasting self-confidence, and embrace the power of living unapologetically. Together, we’ll explore what it means to show up fully in every space with resilience, courage, and authenticity.

Join Vice Mayor Robert McKinzie, Commissioner District 8, City of Fort Lauderdale Commissioner Pam Beasley-Pittman, alongside the Broward County Cultural Division, for an unforgettable evening celebrating the music, culture, and creative spirit of Fort Lauderdale’s Historic Sistrunk neighborhood.
Sounds on Sistrunk is transforming Provident Park into an open-air concert experience featuring performances by local South Florida artists Ogneiljay and Black Nimbus, bringing soul, rhythm, and community together beneath the summer sky.
This is an invitation to gather in “The Heart & Soul of the City”— Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your lawn chairs and dancing shoes.
